Sandy Diehl holds a master's degree in public health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  While developing the Expecting the Best curriculum, she worked as a research associate at Coastal AHEC, in Wilmington, North Carolina and held a Research Assistant Professor faculty appointment in the Department of Ob/Gyn at the UNC-CH School of Medicine.  Sandy has taught English as a Second Language part-time since 1991 for the North Carolina Community College system.  She loves teaching and has enjoyed the opportunity to blend her health and literacy interests through the Expecting the Best project.
